How to inspect for dead or stuck pixels

  1. Clean the screen first so dust or smudges are not mistaken for pixel defects.
  2. Start the test and inspect each solid background from a normal viewing distance.
  3. Tap/click the stage or use Space / Arrow Right for the next color; Arrow Left goes back.
  4. Look for a point that does not change consistently with the surrounding screen.

Dead pixels and stuck pixels can look different

A dead pixel may remain dark while surrounding pixels light up. A stuck subpixel may remain bright or show the wrong color on some backgrounds. This page only provides controlled solid colors for visual inspection; it does not read or diagnose individual panel pixels.

Visual inspection limits

Browser chrome cannot be inspected when fullscreen is unavailable, and reflections, dirt, scaling, or viewing distance can make tiny marks look like pixel defects. The tool does not provide a pass/fail score, warranty classification, camera diagnosis, or flashing pixel-fixer mode.
